Happy happy Sunday! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! We've been in Laos for a full week now, and are so so so happy about it! After nearly three months of busy busy hectic life in Vietnam, we're loving the laid-back Lao way of life. People joke that "Lao PDR" stands for "Lao: Please Don't Rush." We're cool with that! After making our way from the Vientiane to Vang Vieng, we're now enjoying lovely Luang Prabang. Gorgeous!
Here's what I found on the interwebs this week that made me drool!
- You know I love a good BREAKFAST SALAD!
- Photos of people barreling out of a waterslide. So fun {and creative!}!
- Peaches + halloumi + basil + jalapeno = YES PLEASE!
- If I had an ice cream maker at my disposal right now, I would drop everything for BASIL ICE CREAM!
- This entire look is right up my alley!
- Is this real life? 40 fruits on one tree? Sign me up!
- BROWNIE BRITTLE! Need I say more?
- Antelope Carne Asada!! YUM and YUM!
- This looks a lot like what we're eating here in Laos, which is AMAZING!
- Considering I'm obsessed with lemongrass, this soup is on my to-do list!
- These crispy cauliflower tacos {with mango salsa!} have my mouth watering!
- Watermelon + balsamic + chicken? This salad is so darn pretty!
- Beautiful photos of stone fruit tarts!
- This salad has SO MUCH going on — I love it!
- Remember how I have a quesadilla pretty much everyday at home? I need this!
- Thai Corn Coconut Soup. YES!
- Everyone should know how to make a pie crust!
- Joy knows how to summer! Can I summer with you??
- I don't think I'll ever get sick of Vietnamese spring rolls. EVER!

I just discovered your blog on instagram. I was in Asia in 2012. My son was studying at a University in HKG and we travelled to Beijing, Bangkok, Macau and HKG. I will go back because my husband just started to work in Brunei last month. I plan to visit new places. There is so much to see, I can't wait. Just a quick question for you: did you have any problems with food? I was told by the travel medical clinic in Canada to be careful and not eat street food in Asia. I did not and was not sick but some do. Will be following your blog now.

Well, there is definitely always the chance of getting sick, but that's a risk we were willing to take. We both had short bouts of stomach issues, but nothing debilitating. The street food is the best food around, so I personally say go for it — just try to get the stuff that looks freshest and hottest!
