Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year, and are enjoying your last weekend off before returning to work (some of you). How is 2015 treating you so far!? Hopefully WONDERFULLY! After months of reading, online assignments, and hours and hours of practice: I started the in-person intensive segment of my yoga teacher training (!!!) today! YAY! This has been a long time coming, and I'm really looking forward to the next month of learning, practicing, and growing. They're feeding us ridiculously delicious meals, and I've already established myself as "that girl who can eat a crazy amount of food" — are we surprised? No.
Since I'm busy 24/7 for the next 4 (well, actually six) weeks: things here may look a bit different, but I'm trying to keep them as normal as possible. I have recipes ready for you, but if I don't get around to posting them... that's life! We'll roll with it. I do have some awesome guest posts up my sleeve that will be SO FUN! So, thanks for your understanding as I shift my priorities for a little bit. xoxo

I made some maple nut trail mix from my sister that fit the healthy bill, and I'm lovin' it.
So is that the main purpose of your trip to Indonesia? The yoga teacher training? Just curious. I'm looking at becoming a teacher myself and want to get lots of info on as many programs out there as I can. I enjoy your blog - I love making yummy food, running, and yoga, too! Thanks for your enthusiasm. It motivates me, and motivation is definitely needed.

Hi Angela! The main purpose of this year abroad is simply just to spend a year abroad! We spent four months in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos with the intention of eventually finding a place in SE Asia to spend the rest of the year and join a community. With my desire to do a YTT, along with other considerations, Bali naturally floated to the top of the list. There are SO many great teachers here! If you're interested in becoming a teacher, I really recommend taking as many classes as you can (and in as many styles as you can) to figure out what you like. Ideally, you'd take a training with a teacher you've already studied with and know you connect well with. It's an important relationship!
Glad you've ended up here!! Hopefully I'll keep that motivation coming! xo
