MOOTHIE MONDAY! It’s back! At least for today. Yaaay!
This smoothie is one of those “omg I’m out of smoothie stuff WHAT DO I DO!?!?!” kinds of smoothies. I say that because I always have peanut butter, apples, and bananas on hand and I’m assuming I’m not the only one. I usually throw in some hemp hearts, too, since I usually have those around here! Protein, healthy stuff, tasty stuff (wow I’m so technically competent, eh?!) … one darn good smoothie!
For the liquid here, I used coconut water. This is one of those where you could use milk, or water, or whatever strikes your fancy — I wouldn’t personally suggest orange juice… but I won’t judge if you go that way!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent the weekend at the beach with my family — lots of down time, long meals (and delicious Indian food!!), ice cream, cookies, walks on the beach, doggie snuggles, card games (I lost by a MIIIILE), and more lounging! I think I slept 9 hours each night uninterrupted: no complaints from me! Overall: darn good weekend. Now I’m home and realizing that I have less than 4 days until I’m on my way East: Colorado, England, Scotland, Iceland. It’ll be a busy month! I’ll teach a few yoga classes this week before heading out, but hopefully won’t have too crazy of a week. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it!

- 1 apple, cored and chopped
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp hemp hearts (optional)
- 2/3 cup liquid (water, coconut water, milk, other)
- Combine all ingredients in the blender.
- Blend until smooth!
- Enjoy immediately.
