Sushi Party

Last night we went to a party. Probably one of the most delicious parties I’ve ever been to. You may come back from parties with a hangover from drinking too much, but I came back from this party with a hangover from eating too much sushi. Wait… too much sushi? That isn’t even possible. It. Was. AWESOME. If you know me at all, you know that sushi (well, raw fish in general) is one of my favorite foods!

Our friends Heidi and Orion – with whom we had a crazy fun skate skiing adventure yesterday – hosted this marvelous sushi party last night. They are food-lovers, as we consider ourselves to be, and their roommate is quite a sushi chef (Orion is too, and the two of them together were unstoppable!). We had ahi. We had salmon. We had yellowtail. We had unagi. We had crazy vegetarian mystery sushi. We had it all, and it was all outstandingly delicious. Derek and I even made some rolls ourselves – which were pretty delicious, if I may be so bold!

Fabulous party idea, marvelous execution, and way too much food in my belly. That’s the story of this weekend!
