My life is not so mysterious. Nothing that weird happens, usually just normal, or exciting yet explainable events. I eat a lot of oatmeal (steel-cut now that we have a rice-cooker!), I watch a few TV shows, I go out with my friends, spend time at home with my husband, etc, etc.
So on Monday, once I had finished my oatmeal, gone for a run, taken a shower (note: all NORMAL things), I noticed something very strange while getting ready to go do some errands. I was half-heartedly going my make-up (so, just putting on mascara), when I noticed that MY EYELASHES WERE MISSING.
Yeah, what?
I'm being dramatic when I say they're missing, but seriously: there is a chunk, about ¼" wide, on my top-left eyelid where my eyelashes have been trimmed down to ⅛" long. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
If I were living in a frat house, perhaps I could string a story together about how this came to be; however, I do not live in a frat house (THANK GOD). Did I go out in negative ten thousand degree weather and crack my frozen eyelashes off? Um, no. Maybe 35 degree weather, but nothing THAT cold. I DID get a haircut on Friday, but I'm pretty sure I would have noticed scissors being SO close to my eyes that they trimmed my eyelashes. Not to mention, I didn't notice it while doing my makeup on Saturday, or all day Sunday.
Something weird is happening, people! Now I'm just hoping nobody really notices, and that I'm not one of those people whose eyelashes never grow back. Pleasepleaseplease.
To calm my frantic heart (WHO IS IN MY BEDROOM SNIPPING MY EYELASHES AT NIGHT!?), I've been eating a lot of this pasta. It's a combination of flavors sent from heaven, seriously. Unless you're Derek, and can't stand cilantro OR goat cheese. Why did I marry this guy? Well, don't get me started, but clearly not for the abundance of goat cheese and cilantro in our life.
This recipe could not be simpler: make pasta. add peas. mix in goat cheese, cilantro, pepper. Enjoy. Other good additions would be bacon (if I weren't lazy), lime juice, HOT SAUCE, or even grilled chicken. I'm hankering for the bacon, personally.

Your eyelashes should grow back. If the problem continues, go to see a MD. Could be a bunch of different issues ranging from allergies, skin conditions to thryoid.
The pasta looks fab! One of my favorite ways to have pasta is with peas and tomato sauce or peas and sundried tomatoes and ricotta. I will have to try this. Looks yummy!

So weird about the eyelashes ... I would've freaked out too. Since you're blonde, do you have blonde eyelashes?
This is the basic recipe I use for a lot of pasta dishes too, but switching out different greens. Last version I made had zucchini and basil instead of cilantro. I LOVE goat cheese. I made a mac n cheese with goat cheese, I love it that much 🙂

I’m going to try your recipe as soon as my husband pics me up done bow tie pasta! On the eyelashes use Vaseline and a cheap clean mascara TYPE BRUSH. Or some kind of clean brush for eyelashes that is new. Dip brush in mascara and coat lashes from roots to tips! Sometimes I do the back of eyelashes and front. Makes them grow and LONGER the. I ever remember! Have to fit it every night before bed. You’ll notice a difference almost immediately the next day and it’ll get better 🙂
